Ok, first the funny. I have to tell you the Hilarious thing that happened to me today! A large group of us went to the Seabrook Tavern (Speks) today for lunch. We all arrive and everyone sits down. I noticed that my chair was a little weird, but you just never know about furniture anymore. We all sit down and start talking and all is well.
THEN..... very slowly, my chair's backlegs ever so slowly start to fold in under my chair! Next thing I know, I'm on THE FLOOR!! It comPLETEly broke and, fortunately, did it ever so gently! It was so funny!
Now for the busy. As I've said before, Alex is auditioning for American Idol. (Woo Hoo! Go Baby!) So, I am taking time off next week. But first........ remember the blown tire?
Today I had to go buy a new tire, have it mounted, balanced, and put back on my van. On top of that, I was on my way to work this morning and was sitting at a red light when the guy from the car behind me comes up to my window to let me know I didn't have any brake lights! UGH! It's always something! So, I had to go take care of that stuff today after work. Can't go to KC with a messed up tire and no brakes.
Then, I was very worried that we wouldn't be able to find a cheap place to stay in KC that would keep us close to Kemper Arena where the auditions are being held. Thinking that all the rooms would be booked due to the auditions, I was able to find one for about $70/night. Not too bad. AND, it's close to the arena. My worse fear is.... DRIVING in KC! Those drivers are like New Jersey drivers! LOL. If you've been to Jersey, you know what I'm talking about.
Lots going on. I'm excited, anxious, and still crackin up a little about the broken chair incident. LOL.
OH...... I almost forgot to mention that I saw the new Batman movie: The Dark Knight. It was freakin AWESOME! Most definitely NOT for kids. It was really great. Four stars!
When I got home tonight (after fixing the brake lights and the tire), I found that my kitchen was soooo super clean! Alex really busted her ass in there today. Good Job Baby! She also cleaned up the living room again. I didn't even have to get on her to do it! That's my girl!
