OMG..... After a crazy week at work, it was time to unwind!
I don't usually drink, as you know. In fact, when people ask if I drink, I say "no". But, once in a blue moon, I'll have a couple of drinks while out with friends. It doesn't take a lot for this lightweight to get a little more than tipsy.
A group of friends went out after work on Friday night and had a good time. There was laughter and drinks, followed by stories and shots, and then more laughter and drinks. Woo hoo! Good thing "I" wasn't driving!!
Afterwards, we headed down to the "Breakroom" which is a little hole-in-the-wall establishment in downtown Topeka. Low and behold, Diva Devine was there! What a crazy twist! I had no idea [she] was going to be there! Now, I've seen and heard Diva sing before and it's always entertaining. But this! This was wild! The place was packed with couples who came to watch the show. I've been to strip clubs, and male burlesque shows, but this was something completely new to most of the crowd that I was with. That's right folks. These dudes are dressed in drag and they can kick your ass! LOL. It's definitely entertaining. That Diva can SING!!! They do this thing after they walk through and collect their tips: all the money gets thrown on the stage, then someone from the crowd is selected to go pick the money up. BUT, they have to turn their back to the crowd and pick up the money without bending their knees! LOL!
Today, yeah, I woke up with a slight hangover. UGH! Doncha hate that?? It's a good reason not to drink! ACK!
Ryan called me. (Cheesy smile!) We made plans to get together tonight and go out, like on a date. Hmm. So, I went and got my hair cut by my hottie stylist (Thanks for making me look great Lee!) and then went home to get ready for Ryan.
We went out for dinner at Carino's and talked. OK, I talked. He doesn't talk about himself much. I'm working on him though. I sure do like this guy. His complaint is that I don't call him. I understand, and I agree. I don't call him. But, are we dating?? Are we "FWB"?? I didn't know, so I didn't know if I should invest very much effort into this whatever-it-is. Apparently, neither of us is seeing anyone else, we both enjoy being with each other, and...... we're dating.... slowly. I'm good with that. :) Here's Ryan:
Alex is going to stay a couple of days with her dad. Ryan and I plan to take FULL advantage of those couple of days and spend some real time together. I'm totally looking forward to it. Did I mention that he thinks I'm funny? Yeah, I told him that that was my favorite thing about him. I have other favorite things about him, but that one fit at the time. LOL.
I'm proud to report, "I'm happy!" :)
