I've been watching a lot of movies lately. Why does the plot of almost all "teen" movies based on the characters of two best friends, a boy and a girl, who are desperately seeking love or just to get laid, and then they end up with each other? That's not reality (usually). In reality, don't you start dating someone and then become best friends? That's how it has worked out for me in the past. Ok, let's just put this aside for now.
This weekend and the past few weekends have been pretty good. My friends have been very accomodating with their time lately. I've just about gotten into a regular routine to where I'm not lonely much, and I get just enough time to myself. So, I want to send a big "THANK YOU" to the people who have kept me on their mind and have invited me to be a part of things. I truly appreciate that. I realize that it can't keep going this way forever, but it's great right now.
Alex is still doing great. It's been a month and a half, almost, since she moved out. That doesn't change our habits of getting together for a night out to share the goings-on in our lives. Of course, there are things going on in her life that would make some mother's cringe and beg a child to move back home so that they could be carefully watched over. That's just not the kind of mom I am though. I remember some truly crazy things that I did as a teenager that would have gotten people, including myself, arrested or worse! Fortunately for me, Alex is not nearly as wild of a child as I was. Moreso, she knows that I care and am always there to support her and forgive her for things. She is in a trial and error time in her life. She's allowed to make mistakes and take responsibility for her own actions. I love that baby of mine, no matter what.
Easter is coming. I already made and delivered my baskets. I made one for Alex and one for Avah, Alex's niece. Alex said that she was going to make me a basket this year. LOL.
Well, that's my blog for now.
