Climbing Back to the Top!

As some of you may know, we (Alex & I) have been in a financial crisis lately. I didn't know if we were going to have to move to a cheaper place, if I was going to have to get a 2nd job; then, our power was shut off for a day, and I was issued a garnishment at work! UGH! The hits kept coming left and right and I was dealing with them the best that I could. After all, I have my pride and don't like asking for help unless I actually NEED to.

Well, just when you hit rock bottom and all you can do is stress out and try to fix things, and cry.... along comes good news.

Ok, not everyone believes in Karma, and some people thank God for the rewards that come with suffering, and others believe in...... whoever/whatever they believe in. Personally, I believe I am a good person who tries hard to BE a good person. I live my life simply and without much extravagence, I try to contribute to the community when the opportunity is presented to me, and I work for what I have. I think that those who do good recieve good things. Now, this is not to toot my own horn, it is just to show you my thinking of things.

When things were at their very worst, and I had exhausted all the avenues that I could pursue on my own, Opportunity came to our door.

     1)   Alex got a job working nights and weekends. This allows #2
     2)   I will have more alone time to be with myself, work on my book, work on ME
     3)   An un-named source gave me a loan for the hospital bill,
squashing the garnishment & saving my credit score
     4)   Alex's dad agreed to send payments to me until his half of the hospital
               bill was paid off
     5)   Alex has agreed to keep her first paycheck, and she's agreed to paying
one or two of the household bills thereafter.

These are all good things. I am thankful the people who have helped me out. And I'm happy that Alex's dad was so agreeable to being fair about paying the debt our baby girl accrued. I'm happy that Alex has agreed to help with the household bills.

Things are changing. For the better, I might add. I finally have some sense of relief. Ahhh.
