My landlord is coming by next weekend to fertilize and put down more grass seed before the cold hits us. I suppose that's what you're supposed to do. I wouldn't know. I not only don't have a green thumb, I don't have a green anything in my body. Besides, isn't the yard work supposed to be the "man's job"? LOL. I know it's stereotypical and probably PC incorrect... I'm sorry. I don't do yard work. I absolutely HATE to mow my yard, but I am not willing to pay someone for something I can do myself. It's a no win situation.
My grass was so tall that Mac came, once again, and chopped it down with the weedwacker. He's done this before. But this time after he was done, Alex and I went out and raked up all the grass clippings. Now, I should be able to get my lawnmower through it all since it's shorter. My lawnmower sucks. Mowing sucks. Why can't I just have a boyfriend who's willing to take care of it for me?? UGH!
Other than the lawn situation, I've been working on the book. Funny thing is, I really expected this to be hard. I mean, it really is hard to get motivated to work on it, but once I get going, and the juices start flowing, it just comes out like music from a harp. LOL. Actually, it really does come fairly easy. The story is there, in my head, and I can write it all down without having to really think too hard about it. My flaw is that I don't make adequate time to do the writing down of the words.
All in all, I'm proud of myself for even taking on this task. I'm excited to see how it all unfolds with the suspense and the thrill of the ride. I've had two reviews on my introduction, and so far, it's a page turner.
I'm really feeling good. Now, what I really need is a sick day. <Cough cough>. I feel a fever coming on. I must stay at home ........ and write. Nah, I wouldn't do that. Seriously, I wouldn't.
Oh, one more thing. Charles McVey is going to be playing at Lazio's on Saturday, September 27th. You know Kim and I will be there! I can't wait! Oh, how my heart beats for the sound of his voice. If you're interested in joining us, let me know. The more the merrier!
