Things did not work out with "the man" that I had met. It happens. I'm not upset. After all, we did have a great time together. But with his lifestyle, careers, family..... he simply does not have the time that I would like for him to spend with me. He's a great guy. I'd definitely give him another chance if his lifestyle changed to allow room for someone else.
Today, I am happy. No.... I'm not happy. I'm excited and strangely giddy! ROFL!! Nothing in particularly great happened, but I'm still on the upside of life. :) How does that happen??
So, I was talking with my friend Brad last night. I was working on my MySpace page and wanted to style it up with my own personality. (It's harder than it seems, so I just quit! I'll try again this weekend though.) I asked Brad "when you think of me, what comes to mind?" His answer was surprising, but honest. I won't tell you what it was. But then, when I wanted to post some blogs on my MySpace, I decided just to put some of my poems since that's what I'm known for online. I asked Brad what is the first line of poetry that comes to mind when he thinks of my work. Amazingly, he picked several. The first he picked was "One Burning Lightbulb". (One of my faves as well.) Tonight, I was supposed to go out with my friend Mac to dinner. As it turns out, we didn't go out, and when I came home I was informed that it was "girls night" with Alex and her friends. I don't mind. They crack me up, and vice versa!!
You know what? Life is good. I'm lovin' it!!
