That's right, friends. I've been chosen. For what, you may be asking yourself. Well, I have met someone. Granted, it's early and the foundation is still being laid, but I'm pretty happy with it. He thinks I'm funny, and so do I. LOL. AND..... I've waited to post anything here, just in case...... you know.
For those of you concerned, I know what your first question is, and the answer is "33". I know, I know. I'm breaking the habit, but I knew it would make you all happy. I'm happy too. I'll spill more later, after we've spent more time together.
If you're wondering what happened with Justin, ... don't.
I have nothing bad to say about him. He has been my best friend for a good long time, and he always accepted me the way I am, even though he didn't always like some parts of who I am. I appreciate that and will not bad-mouth him.
In other news.....
I had a pretty excellent week. I had a couple dates, got to spend some time with my friend Sheri, had a wild night with Alex, and dinner with an old friend. On top of that, I've been clearing out the basement and will soon be clearing out the garage, getting rid of all the old crappy furniture that's been taking up space around here.
I'm sure I've talked about this before, but it seems that every time Alex talks about moving out, I start going through a nesting phase. Only, I'm not just cleaning up, but I'm clearing out the things we don't need.
We've taken a bunch of clothes to the mission; I have a box of toys to go to Let's Help (a charitable organization for financially challenged people); and I know there will be more contributions to be made over the next few months. Not only am I clearing out what I don't need, but I'm giving back to the same organization that helped me out when I was first starting out.
When I think of how hard things were then, I have to appreciate how far I've come. I'm not tooting my horn, just wondering how we ever managed to get where are today. Life sure was different then.
I want to end on a happy note, so here it is: I love my career, happy to have met someone new, love my baby girl, and feel like I'm lucky to feel this good. I wish all of my friends happiness too.
Oh, and HAPPY EASTER! I'm going to my friend Kim's for Easter brunch. She's awesome. Thanks Kim!
