I am obviously a very proud mother. Sure, I may gripe and complain here and there about what Alex does and does not do. But as a person, who could ask for a better daughter, really?
The publication about her winning the award for her creative writing finally came out. Sorry that I did not give you an advance notice, but as it happens, I found out about it by accident. I was sitting in the coffeehouse this past Tuesday, and thought I'd read the comics (which is the best part of ANY newspaper!) and there on the cover of Section C was my baby girl!
