House SOLD

Last week, I was informed that my house had been sold. I've been renting my place for about 4½ years now. I like my place. It's a little more room than we need in some aspects, but small enough to be within my price range. I might be a high maintenance gal, but when it comes to where I live, I'm all about WEST SIDE and affordability. LOL.

So, the landlord called me, said that he had sold the place. He's going to be IN his 80's very soon, and I think he's just ready to relax. Good man. He's always been fair and polite with Alex and me. He's a very good man.

My day went something like this: I worked, went home, took Alex out, watched "So You Think You Can Dance?", then his call came at 9pm. The appraiser was to be at the house at 9:30am the following morning. (EEK! I'm a slob!!) I had to run to the storage facility for the firm to get a set of plans, then back home to clean, clean, and CLEAN!!

Talk about bustin ASS!! We did everything that needed done (with the exception of vaccuuming at 11pm and waking the neighbors) within 2 hours. Damn, we're good! Alex did everything I asked without any complaint or fuss. That's my girl! I love that baby of mine!

Speaking of the baby... she decided that she didn't want to be home alone when the appraisers came. I couldn't take off from work (cause I'm a responsible person like that), so she decided to hang out at the coffeehouse for a few hours. She was going to take her laptop (which is ANCIENT!!) and watch DVD's.... BUT her laptop doesn't play DVD's. UGH! I happened to be on the phone with a certain exboyfriend who, when asked, agreed to swing by the coffeehouse and let Alex use his laptop to watch her shows. Awww.... isn't that nice? It was very nice considering the situation.

AND.........Apparently all went well with the appraisal. I should be meeting the new owner anytime now. I've also been notified that my rent will not increase when the new owner takes ownership. (Thank Goodness!!)
