Busy BUSY week!

Thursday was insane! I had a LOT of running around to do that afternoon. My mom picked me up from work, drove me to get the van, then I went back to work and drove the Jeep home, where mom picked me up and drove me back to work again. Then...

DEAD(?) LADY/KID AT BANK
I drove to the bank where I had taken a loan to pay for the work done on the van. UGH. I pull up and there is a car there in the middle of the road, and a body on the ground off to the side. WTH?? Did someone get hit by a car? Is someone dead? The body was on the ground and there was a two-wheel dolly next to it. Did they dolly the body out from the middle of the road? I couldn't tell if it was a kid or an old person. It was crazy! It seemed like 20 minutes before any response units showed up. If this was hollywood, where sirens seem to be around every corner, someone would have been there in less than a minute!! I hope everything turned out alright.

FRIDAY NIGHT MADNESS
Friday, I was feeling pretty good. Alex and I went out after work. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE that bay girl of mine?? Anyway, we set out to do something. What we were going to do, we had no idea. We, of course, started out at the coffeehouse. She was telling me all about the Carey Grant movies that she'd been watching. I love it when she tells me about those old movies. She is the best story-teller I know. I was laughing my ass off when she started going into the tellings of "Awful Truth" (I think that was the name of it). It sounds like a hilARIous movie!!

By the time Alex was done with her stories, I was high on life and very over the top crazy happy and could not stop laughing. The hyperness took over!! We decided to drive around until we found something else to do. We stopped at Hastings and picked up a couple of movies: The third wheel, and Man of the Year. There was a guy at Hastings that looked JUST LIKE Michael J. Fox. But, he had a busload of kids (six kids) with him! We got our movies and proceeded to the counter where Alex somehow started talking, and I can't remember how we actually got on the subject, but the conversation turned into her dressing up like Howard Stern (the radio talk show host) off the cover of his book, in Speedos, and sliding down the chimney like Santa Claus on Christmas Eve! OMG!! The guy at the register probably thought we were on drugs or something! He was trying not to laugh, but I really don't think he could help it! Then, my swipe cardwas having a difficult time going through, so I was telling the guy "just take it slow... and it'll work for you". LOL! And to the card I was chanting "come on, baby! Come on, baby!" Ha ha ha.

GILMORE GIRLS
After the Hastings trip, I still wasn't ready to go home. I had the need to be out, touch things. It sounds crazy, but sometimes you just want to go touch things, don't you?? Or is that just me? LOL!! We ended up at CD Tradepost. Once again, it was sooo funny. We found the most insane band names, and some "I can't believe someone bought this in the first place" bands such as "Revolting Cocks: Finger lickin good". ROFL!! Then, we moved on to finding odd CD's and saying stuff like "You know you love ... Celine Dion" (which made us break out in unison the Celine-Dion-walks-into-a-bar-joke), and "how can you live without ABBA??" And finally we found "Boingo". I asked Alex, "what the hell happened to Oingo?? Didn't it used to be Oingo Boingo?" She said, "It's all Boingo now!" In the moment, this whole conversation was spoken very seriously, but afterwards, we were totally laughing our asses off.

In the end, Alex found the first season of Gilmore Girls. We have the 2nd season, and had made a marathon of it when nothing else was going on. It's funny to us because we are very much like Lorilei and Rory. We bought the first season, and we new our evening was done. Who could possibly pass up on a deal like this??? It was cheap, a great show, and we are HUGE fans of those girls!

PIZZA, HOOCH, AND DVD'S
On the way home we stopped and got a pizza. Again, a little too hyper to be out in public! As we were standing in line at the pizza parlor, we were talking incecently about everything and nothing at the same time! Finally, it's our turn to order and we'd been talking so much that we forgot to figure out what we wanted! This, in itself, broke us out into laughter again. Alex was the one to break the chaos and said that we should get cheese. I said that I didn't want cheese, and she stated "well, they're gonna put cheese on it anyway." Again with the laughter, and the nervous cashier that could only laugh along with us. In the end, we got our order putin, and again I had to chant "come on, baby" to the poor swipe card that has been so abused lately with the spending. LOL!

We waited out in the van for the pizza to get done. We opened the DVD set for the Gilmore Girls and checked out the booklet that always comes withthe DVD's. We love the Gilmore-isms that are always included. They're funny!

Pizza in hand, wine coolers in the fridge (soon to be in our tummies), and an awesome series of a fave show....... the evening was going great! Finally at 3am (!!!) I had to call it quits and give in to the sleepiness that was taking over my body.

What a most awesome evening with my most favorite person in the world!! These are the times I live for.
