Over a MONTH'S wait for this!

I know, I know. I haven't written anything in a while. But it's been jam packed with busy busy busy at work. In fact, it sometimes leaves me vegetized by the end of the day. That may be a weak excuse, but it's MY excuse. LOL.

What's been up? The new semester started at the beginning of the year. When the kids went back to class, they had a whole new lineup. The baby went for a couple of days, then came down with an awful flu! She went on Monday and skipped Tuesday. Went back on Wednesday, and was home for a week. First the naseau, fever, body aches, etc. Then came the lost voice and coughing cycle, THEN she broke out in a terrible rash with welts!! What the heck!? So, now she's pumped up on steroids, benedryl, and super-duper cough syrup! My poor baby girl.

New year's was good. We went to my long time friend's house. He just got married early last year and adopted his wife's 11 yr old boy. Wow! How incredible. I'm glad that we went. We ended up being the only people who were invited AND showed up! We had a good time though. The baby stayed home with one of her friends for an overnighter. I'd adopt her friend if I could. So cool. Those two are great friends with good interests.

At midnight that night, I popped open a bottle of champagne and Justin popped open his bottle of sparkling white grape juice. The girls shot off fire works in the front yard, and we all had a great night! No resolutions here though. No no no. I think that if you need to change something about yourself, you should get right on it then and there, and not wait for a "special moment" to start making it happen.

What else? I'm still hoping for another raise. It's that time of year, folks! Yeah!

Things with Justin are great. He's pumped about the Broncos possibly going to the SUPERBOWL! He's a nut, can't help that. LOL. We went out last night and had dinner and saw Hoodwinked. Good flick! Worth buying. We've also been playing a LOT of  Scrabble. I LOVE Scrabble! Wednesday, I'm going to play Bunko with an old co-worker. (Hi Girl!) Last time I played, I almost won! I got THREE bunkos!! If you've ever played, you'd know that was a lot. Beginner's luck, I guess.

I bought a new microwave. The old one, well...... Alex thought she was setting the kitchen timer on it for 3 minutes, and had actually set it to COOK for 3 minutes. It kinda fried the inside of the empty microwave. It was still usable, but not exactly safe. : ( So, I got a new one. I can't believe how cheap they are now.

New Hair!!! I plan to get new hair. Not a new color this year like I had originally planned, but .... CURLS! I haven't had a perm in sooooo long. This year, curls. long dark curls. Yep. And if that looks like crap, then it's back to blonde. Long blonde curls. LOL.
