All Growed Up

Saturday we woke up early so we could get the car packed up with all of Alex's stuff because it was "Moving Day". I looked outside to see what the weather was like and lo and behold!!!... there were about 2-3 inches of snow on the ground!!! Um, it was between 50 and 70 degrees over the past couple of weeks and now there's SNOW??!! Shoot!!

No matter. I packed up the car and made about 3 trips back and forth in the snow and freezing cold wind. Alex didn't get everything, but she did get most of her stuff. Her daddy came by today after she got off work and he helped move her big ol' TV and her DVD player and another box of miscellaneous stuff to her apartment. Good Daddy!

This evening, I picked Alex up from her place and took her to the store to get just enough food to last two days (because she gets paid then). When I got her back to her place she says "don't you want to come in and hang out for a little bit and see how I arranged my room?" But, I'm tired and I've been sick. She knows that. I told her that I would come in later in the week when I bring her the rest of her stuff.

I spent a large part of my day today packing up the little things Alex left behind and cleaning out her room. I am seriously torn between turning her room into an office or getting a roommate. Not sure which way to go yet. My friend Brad asked if her being gone has hit me yet. She's gone a lot and usually works nights, so I think it's really gonna take a little while for it to truly sink in.

I love my baby and she will always be my baby no matter how "growed up" she thinks she is.
