Tonight after work, I went to pick up Alex from Lazio's. As I'm backing out of the parking stall, some pimple-faced idiot kid gets behind me in his car. Of course, I hit him. NO ONE WAS HURT! But, I immediately become enraged! But, if you know me, you know how in control I am when I'm pissed off. I'm cool. I'm calm. I'm collected. The epitomy of self-control.
Now, of COURSE, it is in no way my fault that this dumbass's car is dented and my tail light is broken. I looked twice!! People (I mean "idiots") are always speeding through that lot. You look, and then you look again before attempting to SLOWLY pull out of that place. And seriously, it was NOT my fault. THIS is exactly why I don't like riding with other people. Drivers nowadays have very small attention spans. They should really change the spelling from "r-o-a-d" to "r-o-ADD" (attention deficit disorder for the idiot drivers who might be reading this).
What I've learned today: When you have a non-injury accident, the police usually do not have time to respond, nor do they want to. So, be sure to get the following information.
1) Other driver's name, address, phone number
(as well as this information for any and all passenger's involved)
2) Other driver's insurance company name, and policy number
3) The car's make, model, year, and color.
4) The car's license plate number, state, and county
5) Be sure to ask the driver if he/she has been injured. Make sure they're sure.
6) Immediately call your insurance company to file a claim
The holiday season is stressful and maddening enough. DRIVE SAFELY!!
