Happy...Sad...Happy! Bipolar?? NO!

Ok. It's been a few days since I've written. I know, I know.. I'm a slacker. Sorry about that. Things have been... um, let's say "interesting" for lack of creativity at the moment. LOL.

Let's begin the bipolar-ism. LOL.

Happy
Last weekend, I had a date. A different date than the weekend before. (STILL haven't heard from Mr.G!- Jerk!) Friday night, I went to karaoke with date#2. It was great. I told him that I had terrible stage fright and was not a great singer anymore. Fortunately, my second song (can you believe I tortured myself TWICE) was a rap number by Salt-n-Pepa! I can rap, baby, believe it or not. It was great! So, the evening went well and we decided to go out to dinner the next night.

Saturday night, date#2 and I went out to dinner at Johnny Carino's. If you haven't been there, you should go. Good italian restaurant, and I LOVE italian foods! Since we were both still very tired from the night before, and not all that hungry, we just shared an entree. It was great. Afterwards, we went out for coffee (of course). We drove by my favorite  coffeehouse, but there was a large group there, consisting of the owner's children (all adults). I decided that we should go someplace else. Date2 asked why, and I explained who was there. Turns out that there is bad blood between one of the sons and my date. Hmm. Really? Ok, what's the scoop here? Not a lot of detail was given.

SAD/DISAPPOINTED
We ended up at a different coffeehouse, the Classic Bean, where I could have coffee and he could have beer. Being comfortable and relaxed, we made conversation about the main topics: religion, finances, family, and then....... politics. UGH! First of all, I know NOTHING about politics, and stated that bluntly. But, wouldn't you know it... he is VERY into the government conspiracies, and began to tell me all about various things that the government has done and how they covered it up, etc. etc. Whatever! When Justin and I were dating, we used to laugh at the kids who would sit outside and "shoot the shit" about these very same conspiracies. Everyone has a different opinion, yet they all sound like bull****! How should I know what's true and what's not? I've already stated that I know nothing about the general topic at all! At some point, I quit listening to him.

Monday, as I stopped into my fave coffeehouse before going in to work, I asked about the guy I had gone out with, asking about the "bad blood" between them. OMG you would NOT believe what I was told. There is definitely some anger management issues going on with this guy!! So, I dumped him. My loyalty to the family I have come to know over the past several years is stronger than my opinion of Date (Jerk) #2.

HAPPY
Justin and I were talking Sunday. I had emailed him to ask how his dad was doing. So far, it's hard to tell. They put a couple of stints in his heart and they are doing chemo. Overall, his dad seems to be keeping it together and is still strong. That's good. I really like Justin's dad. Good man.

Instead of emailing this info back to me, Justin called. It was good to hear his voice. We talked about his dad, then about various other things, just catching up on the "what's new" items. During the conversation, Justin says "I sure miss you. I miss hanging out." So, I told him that we could hang out "right now". So, he did come by for a while. We watched a movie, laughed, carried on about this-that-and-the-other. It was a good time. No funny business. It was just good clean fun.

Life is full of ups and downs, isn't it? It's nuts if you ask me! LOL!
