I've spent the day, once again, messing with Alex's hair. Yesterday, I stripped it and colored it. That didn't do much. Today, a total stripping! Still, it's blonde, but not "blonde" blonde. Not the barbie doll look that she's going for, unfortunately. Tomorrow, the salon will get their chance to fix this mess! UGH! I'm sooooo tired of messing with it!
This morning Matt called at 8am!!! Matt's an old friend of mine from "back in the days". It's funny how we're all getting older and more mature. LOL. It makes me laugh at how some of my old friends have turned out. Matt's a good guy. We went and had coffee and talked for a long time. It was nice. Then, it was Eastertime!
As old as she is, I hid eggs for Alex to find. LOL. What a hoot! She's just not into that stuff, but it was fun for me anyways.
You know, Alex is a pretty cool person. I like hanging out with her. I know I always say that I can't wait for her to move along with her life, but I think the reality is that I can't wait to move along with mine. Everyone says that I'm going to have "empty nest syndrome" when she's gone. Maybe I will, but I'm the type of person who won't show it. Some people wear their emotions on their sleeve. I don't think I'm one of them.
I think I need a nap. It hasn't really been a long day, just a tiring one.
