American Idol Update

American Idol: Season 6 Top 12 Contestants
Let's get the "low-down" on this!

Gina Glocksen: Yes, the girl can sing. They all can, or else they wouldn't be here, right? Gina's got the whole "rocker" style started, but I wonder if she can really deliver. I wanna see some Joan Jett attitude and leather, some grunting in the microphone, and an "I don't give a f***" look on her face! Bring it Gina!

Haley: Sure, she was great tonight, but what about the past several weeks? I don't think Haley is right for the Top 12. I think she might make it one or two more weeks. First things first....

Sanjaya: I think you should pack your bags. But then, I've been saying that for quite a while now. I STILL can't believe you made it this far.

Blake: I absolutely LOVE the whole beat-box thing he has going on, but either BRING IT or get out. As Simon has said over and over again, "this is a singing competition", and that is something Blake isn't all that good at, in my opinion.

Brandon: Let's see. I don't recall hearing ANY riffs from him, he does have a good melodic voice, but "melodic" is something your mother uses to lull a child to sleep. We need to see much MUCH more excitement from this guy.

Jordin: How can you not love this little girl? She's got talent, she's young and has a smile that lights up the room. This girl should make it to the Top 3!

Lakisha: OMG! Could she possibly be America's next Idol Winner? You know, they always say that you shouldn't sing Whitney, Celine, Bionce, or Christina. Let me just say that when Lakisha sang Whitney last week, I was completely in love! Was she BETTER than Whitney??? Possibly! Damn good job!

Chris R: ahh.. he is so gorgeous, but this isn't "America's Next Top Model"... LOL... this is American Idol, baby! And he will most likely make it to the Top 6 based on those looks and his falsetos. What a cutie!

Chris S: Man, you know what? I really want to see this guy do great things. I want him to cut loose, shake that head full of curls, and bust a move. I would really like to hear him sing something with some GUSTO! His little lisp bothers me some. I don't think he'll make it to the Top 5.

Melinda: Wow, she is like a bi-polar artist. She's very mousy and always looks SO surprised when she gets a good comment from the judges. She shows her humble side when she isn't singing. Her split personality is AWESOME! Put that mic in her hand, start the band, and sit back because the little Mouse has sprung from the trap and is FULL of energy and so very exciting to watch!

Stephanie: Wonderful singer. Definately will make it in the Top 5, BUT.... she can't compare to the other girls. Once Haley is gone, Stephanie and Gina won't be far behind in the cutting of the girl's.

Phil: I know you're a Kansan and all, but........ look, when it comes down to it, I think Phil is going to follow Sanjaya out the door. Sorry Phil.

Now, for the good stuff! In case you missed it, the banter between Simon and Ryan was unforgettable tonight! Here's a slight recap. Fans can now send in questions to the contestants. The question to Melinda Doolittle was "what is the hardest part of this competition?" Melinda said it was the high heels and the dresses. LOL. At Melinda's response, Ryan looked to Simon for a comment, to which Simon indicated that Ryan would know about wearing high heels. Ryan, with a poor comeback said "Stay out of my closet!" To which Simon quickly replied "Well, come out already!"  If you missed this whole exchange, you should see it on YouTube soon, I'm sure!
