I'm hoping that I can finish something that I started several years ago. A book. More like a novel. I've been reading a lot, and I think I have the knack now for what a good book should consist of.
Years ago (at least 10 years ago), I began writing a book initially titled "Murder Unknown" and never finished it. I was thinking about putting it here, a little at a time, to see what you think of it. I must tell you, the title says it all. It's definately a suspenseful murder story.
Do I have time? I don't know. I'm going to try it though. Perhaps I'll take some vacation time to pursue this further, after I reach a particular point in the telling of the tale. MJ, this is for you hon. You have been a fan of my writing for several years, and you have always been supportive and encouraging. I want to give you something new to really sink your teeth into.
Tonight, I will look over the material I have and sketch out more of the story. Yes, I think I must commit to this. I must.

That a way to go girl!! The first step is to get yourself into a routine....set aside a set time everyday to write or, at the least, commit to writing a certain number of pages a day (or in a week). Even one page a day (on average) would produce a novel in less then a year. One of the more interesting books on writing that I have read recently was one by Stephen King "On Writing." The first half is very much autobiographical -- the second half gets more into the meat of writing (at least what has worked for him). PS -- I can't wait to see your name on the New York Times Bestseller list (another Nora Jones or Nicholas Sparks).
