Broken!

Sometimes people can be soooo stupid. I have 2 hurricanes. If you don't know, these are candleholders made of very thin glass. They are beautiful and very tall. Usually, people use them for centerpieces at fancy get togethers. Well, I have two hurricanes that set on my entertainment center. Today, in my fit of cleaning, I was trying to take the top off of one of them. Like I said, the glass is very thin, and candles tend to melt when burnt, creating an adhesive between the wax and container.

Needless to say, the wax was keeping the top from coming off, and so I applied more pressure to the thin glass, trying to get it to loosen away. Nope. I'll tell you what I did manage to do. I managed to shatter the hurrican into huge pieces, splice my finger and my palm, and make a bloody mess in the freshly cleaned bathroom sink! UGH.

Thank goodness for children and first aid kits!! I'm fine. No stiches required. Just cold water, pressure, and bandages.
